Outdoor Adventure

Your adventure begins with bikes delivered directly to the Inn, allowing guests to enjoy a scenic ride into the village of Suttons Bay. Upon arrival at Suttons Bay Bikes, guests will be fitted for either a stand-up paddleboard or kayak to continue exploring the beauty of Northern Michigan from the water. A picnic lunch prepared by Black Star Farms is included to enjoy during your day in Suttons Bay, and return transportation back to the Inn is provided once your adventure concludes. *e-bike upgrades available

Explore our property and the surrounding area at your leisure with a 24-hour bike rental.  Verified Black Star Farms is a gem!
When we walked in the beautiful front door and David greeted us by our first names, I knew this would be a great experience. The wine in our room was labeled WELCOME with our names. So delicious we ordered 6 bottles at the Tasting Room ((free shipping). Loved the fresh coffee outside our door in the morning st 7:00am. The social hour was so much fun with great appetizers and wine. Would highly recommend Black Star to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable place to stay with beautiful scenery. We would rate it a 10, if possible. Our innkeepers, Rachel and David were perfect hosts during our stay. They were so friendly and accommodating in every role they performed. We cannot say enough great things about them, the rooms, facilities, food and even the wines! Happy hour in the late afternoons was a fun touch with quality wines and small bites. Always a favorite place to stay...warm and welcoming beginning with the drive in! What a wonderful inn keeper and staff. The rooms are always clean and stocked with the most delicious vino and truffles. The breakfast is the best around. I can't wait to visit again!

What an amazing experience, as usual! David, and now Rachel, always so friendly and greeting us each time with smiles and conversation, making us feel right at home. Chef Kristen prepared two incredible breakfasts, as those definitely make it worth just waking up for! The trails are nice, and just enough to work that breakfast off, or to take an evening stroll. We absolutely love coming here each year, and just wish we could do it more often! Thank YOU for always making this such a beautiful experience!! 🥰 P.S.
